This Trans Am was originally sold in 2009 by the noted auction house Barrett Jackson at a General Motors Heritage event where GM sold off dozens of cars from the manufacture's own collection. The cars sold by GM were sold with a salvage/scrape branded title where buyer is responsible for ensuring that the restored vehicle complies with all applicable laws and regulations prior to any sale or use of vehicle on public roads.
