Description

1965 Pontiac Bonneville You are looking at an amazing Original Survivor Bonneville. It has 29. 87 miles. It has not rolled over…. it is legitimate. I am under the impression it is. the nicest. lowest mile. original 65 Bonneville in the world… yes. in the world. I have taken almost 200 pictures of the car and uploaded them to photobucket for the public to see. A few failed to upload. not sure why. but 150+ pictures should be enough: http://s1154. photobucket. com/user/dembo64/library/?view=recent&page=1 I have videos on youtube : https://www. youtube. com/watch?v=ksm-0xfPLV4 https://www. youtube. com/watch?v=gAdw5aLVMcg https://www. youtube. com/watch?v=HhjqTXFAh0c&feature=youtu. beThis is not a car that has been well cared for and well used. then cleaned up. slicked up. touched up. detailed to the max. I would be surprised if this car has ever been “dirty” 29K miles. ripower. factory ordered cloth insert seat fabric (not "all vinyl"). and colors are what really sets this Bonneville apart from the rest of them. The chrome. paint. wood. vinyl. rubber. glass. and everything else is in spectacular condition. I took photos of the car in the sun. in the shade from every possible angle I could. I took videos and have uploaded them to youtube. One video at night. one of the car driving. and long one of the car itself. The car smells new. and feels new. If you were around when these cars were new. you can relate. A restored car. refurbished car. repainted or new interior. or rebuilt one is NO COMPARISON…not even close. I have not waxed the car. spayed vinyl shine on the seats and door panels. spray painted the carpet or anything else like this to cover it up. NOTHING AT ALL IN THE WAY OF COVERING UP ANYTHING. The car is untouched. except a wash job. I had the carbs rebuilt a week ago. It runs super. The transmission shifts flawlessly. In one video. when I put the car in reverse. my hand hit the phone. its not the car jerking into reverse. The brakes stop the car nicely. a very slight pull to the left. but only on the first braking. then it stops totally straight. Its very slight. The wipers. heater. radio. lights. turn signals. power trunk are as new. The seat works in the tilt positions. but not back and forth. It does not tick. smoke. or knock. It runs very nice- excellent. No puddles of oil. or tranny fluid. gas or antifreeze etc. One touch on the gas and it fires up instantly on high. then tap the gas and it idles down as it should. The trunk is as new. Floor. panels. mat. paint. jack. etc. The vacuum release works long after the car is shut off as well. This car belongs in a showroom or on display. It can be a driver to show and enjoy. but without exaggerating. its one of the finest original survivor Pontiacs of any model from the 60’s in existence. It’s a good looking Bonneville. with excellent color combination. power options. and drivetrain options. Its got all it all. not just one. Color. options. engine/tripower. and year. It was motor trend car of the year in 65’ Turbo 400 Transmission. super strong rear-end (posi as well). and the 65’ 389 was a solid motor with no issues. The Bonneville used a better seat frame and material than the Catalina. they were "cheap" in comparison. I have Catalina's. and like them. but they were and are "not on the same level as a Bonneville" Bonneville's just had it all. wheel base for a better ride. better seat assembly's and materials and design. . They were more money for a reason. The 65 Tripower carbs were super. Small 2 barrel in the center for driving. and the two end carbs were big and made the 65 Tripower a superior set up. from what I have been told. Im not that smart on these. but the man that did the carbs is pretty savvy to Pontiacs. has been for 40+ years. He said the car could not be duplicated for 50 Grand. and he has frame off restored a lot of Pontiacs. so its not a back yard mechanic or hillbilly neighbor with 2 cents worth of "opinions" The dash lights light up like a new car. without question. the condition of the chrome. wood. paint. rubber. vinyl. and plasic. lighting is as good as I have ever seen or will. I don’t think it can be duplicated when restoring a car. The gauges work as they should. the blinkers make the sound they are supposed to. the heater works and blows out the ducts it supposed to like it should. The steering wheel is the finest you will ever see. No cracks. fading. hazing etc. Again. the restored ones don’t look this good… they are nice. but just not quite as correct in color as they were when they were new. The headliner. dome lights and switch on map lights (all three of them). and trim inside is amazing. The glass is clear. and in super shape-no pitts on the windshield. no cracks. no scratches. no issues at all. The doors open and shut solid. The door hinges and jams are greased and original. I did not detail the grease off. The underside of the doors has the original rubber at the door bottoms. There is no rust or crud. The stainless on the bottom of the car is spectacular. The 8 lug wheels and trim are as good as you will ever find. The car is simply a knockout. I took video and photos to show the entire car. There are a few VERY MINOR chips on the nose of the hood and one scratch near the driver headlight bucket. Not hidden or touched up. and does not take away from the car as it is… I have left it alone. and would think the next owner will too. I hope whoever buys it LEAVES IT ALONE. nbsp;only because it has been left alone for 50 years! I need to repeat that the car feels. smells. rides. and looks new in every way. It’s the most amazing feeling when you sit in it. ride in it etc. At night. the dash and lights are timeless and beautiful. very crisp feeling and looking. No hazing or fading etc. Crisp. The car will always have value and appreciate because of the tripower and everything else it has. Every part of this car when you look at it. draws your attention to it. The color. the tripower. the seats. the dash. the chrome and stainless. the wheels…everything. I cant pick it apart and knock it like any other car I have owned or see. The clamps and hoses are not from autozone or pep boys. The car has not had a “respray” as the dealers say. The chrome is not flaking off or fading. The seat is not wore out. you don't sink into it. its firm and just right. The car doesn’t need “TLC”. The car needs to be in a place where its kept as it always has been… inside. protected. and most important. LEFT ALONE! The car needs one thing: Tires. Correct Original bias ply tires are available through COKER TIRES. and if a person wants to enjoy the car for better driving conditions. Radial Tires are available with the correct white wall P23575R14’s through COKER as well. I will take off $1000 of the purchase price if reserve is met or if I list it with a buy it now option. so the buyer can choose what they want. I may add a buy it now during the auction or end it early. IT IS VERY NORMAL FOR ME TO DO THIS. EVERY SINGLE TIME. WITHOUT EXCEPTION. I GET EMAILS SAYING: “IF IT DOESN’T GO THROUGH. PLEASE CONTACT ME” OR WHAT HAPPENED. I WAS GOING TO BID. ON AND ON… SO. IF YOU WANT THIS CAR. GET A HOLD OF ME. I SELL THINGS. DON’T JUST PUT THEM UP FOR SALE AND LIST THEM OVER AND OVER AND OVER . ALTHOUGH. WITH THIS CAR. I AM NOT IN A HUGE HURRY TO GIVE IT AWAY…IT CANNOT BE REPLACED. SO IT MAY BREAK MY NORM OF SELLING THE CAR QUICKLY AND NOW. IT MAY TAKE A WHILE TO GET THE WORD OUT>. EBAY HAS SLIPPED RECENTLY. I HAVE HAD TO RELIST CARS FOR NON PAYING OR SCAM BIDDERS AND AS YOU KNOW. YOU CANT CALL UP "EBAY" AND RESOLVING AN "ISSUE" IS A WASTE OF TIME. YOU HAVE SIMPLY LOST YOUR LISTING FEES! You may have been waiting and watching for years for a nice one to come along. Hoping to find one with “under 100k miles” or one that’s been repainted and has a new interior but needs a motor… etc. You were likely not expecting to find one like this. just as I wasn’t… but. here it is. This is “the one” you may have to pay for it. but the search is over. and nobody will have anything close to it…. I mean not even close. its what I call a knockout. It took 50 years of careful care to get it here. not 500 hours in a restoration. 50 years… and it is a treat to sit in it. look at it. drive it. Not just another ho hum car… Feel free to have it inspected. It can stay here for a month or so after the sale. It has taken a lot of time to take the pictures. and the videos and get them uploaded. so please enjoy them. but don’t bid or offer to buy the car if you don’t have the money etc. With tires. I would drive the car to Florida. it has no issues. We only sell things when we need money. the reason its here. I did not buy the car to sell it. I like it… but I need money more than the novelty of owning this spectacular car. I don’t miss cars when I sell them. but this one holds a record for being the nicest car I have ever owned and will always want to know its future and home etc. Thanks for looking and reading. feel free to ask questions or contact me to buy it. There is not a lot to talk about as far as “what s wrong with it” or “what will it need” etc. If you know of a nicer Original 1965 Bonneville. feel free to leave a comment on the youtube video so everyone can see the car you are referring to… 65’ Bonneville’s have one of the most spectacular dashes and body lines ever produced…. MOTOR TREND CAR OF THE YEAR WAS. “on the mark” …. WHEN ENTERING THE VIN I LOOKED IN FOLDER AND HAVE THE ORG WINDOW STICKER AND METAL PLATE THAT IS IN A PONITAC BOOKLET. SOME OPTIONS ON WINDOW STICKER. DIFFERENTAIL SAF T TRACK. IGNITION TRANSISTOR. CUSTOM SEAT BELTS. HANDLING AND RIDE PACKAGE. POSITIVE C/C VENTILATION. POWER SEAT. REAR DEFOG. SOFT RAY GLASS ALL.
