Description

1969 Pontiac FirebirdThis is a project car. Great for restoration or to make into a daily driver. The car was "restored" in the late 90's but unfortunately got abused and neglected and was left sitting for the last three years. I bought it to make into a driver but I have so many projects that I figured if it sells I will let it go. Mechanical - car was originally a 350 V-8 with a three speed on the floor. A strange but cool/rare combo. The original 350 was missing when I bought it. There is no engine in the car. I do have a Pontiac 350 from a 1973 Ventura that I purchased to put in it. It is not a rebuilt engine. but ran very well before being pulled. This engine is not in the car. but is included in the sale. I have the original 3 speed transmission and drive shaft. I was going to use the bell housing and put in a 4 speed. Car is missing the shifter and linkage. 10 bolt rear looks original. Interior - good driver quality but showing some signs of age. Seats were redone in late 90's and still looks good. but rear seat has one split on top. Buckets looks good. door panels and headliner OK. Dash has been cut for a stereoBody - Some rust bubbles popping up in typical places - quarters. around back window. wheel wells. roof pillars. Will need front floor pans. Trunk floor is good. Firebird 400 hood and left front fender have some damage due to tree limb. but both repairable. Car does come with an extra hood (not 400 type) that is in good shape. Wheels/Tires - the Cragers in the pictures do not come with the car (sorry). I am having a brand new set of tires mounted on rallye II rims and will take pics when installed. So car will have a brand new set of tires (I got tired of dry rotted flats :)I really hope this car goes to some one who will restore it back to it's former glory. It does need work. but can be a beautiful car!No reserve - will not sell lower than the opening bid.
