Description

Just out of long term storage! This may be the only documented 914-6 with a hounds tooth interior- It is all number matching and extremely original with 49,750 miles. All body panels including floor pans are original and are absolutely rust free. If you are in the market for a vintage Porsche that is both high on the list of collectibles and rarity please read more! Note: This car is currently not running and will require a mechanic to get it started.
EXTERIOR: This 914-6 is stunning in appearance as it has a unique color combination. It is the only known silver with tan interior (especially the hounds tooth as documented on COA). Silver is the original color and it was an option at an extra cost. The paint has a high gloss and was done to a very high standard and I am told Glasurit (original German paint) urethane was used. There are no dings, cratches or any flaws. All glass including windshield are original and are perfect. Original chrome bumpers do not have any dents and are like new. Wheels are the original Fuch 14 X 5.5 on Michelin tires. All exterior lights including fog lights work as they should. Targa roof is original and in excellent condition. All doors including trunks, ngine lid open and close as they should with perfect gaps.
INTERIOR: This is the original VERY RARE interior - it has not been restored! As documented on the COA it is "Beige/Tan Leatherette with Dog Tooth Check Cloth Inserts, ode 33." The dash is in like new condition. There is absolutely no cracks. Original Blaupunkt radio works on both AM and FM/electric antannae and actually sounds pretty good. All gauges are original. Seats have no tares or unsightly stains. This 914-6 came with center seat with original seat belts. Carpets are original and in excellent shape. The interior light works including gauge lights. Horn beeps as it should. Emergency brake holds. Original leather steering wheel is like new. Car also has it's original passenger foot rest, nd that too is in excellent shape.
MECHANICS: The engine is original to this car and has not been rebuilt. The car has been in storage for approximately 5-7 years. It turns over easily. Compression check was done and result was excellent. It has a new starter, as tank has been professionally cleaned and installed. I am told it will need a new fuel pump, arbs cleaned and there is no spark. If I do not get a buyer "as is" car will be sent out to get it to run again.
MISC: The notorious area below battery box has no rust. Tool kit is included but is missing screwdrivers. Original jack is in place. Car comes with paperwork, wner's manual, arranty booklet, OA, rochures and misc manuals.
SUMMARY: This is a great opportunity for someone that has mechanical knowledge or knows a good mechanic as I believe it will not take that much to get it on the road again. I am a PCA member and take pride in my Porsche collection. I encourage inspections but they must be done here at my home (heated, ell-lit garage) prior to the end of auction - NO EXCEPTIONS!
I have this 914-6 for sale locally and therefore I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thank you.

Look at my feedback- I sold another 914-6 less then a year ago for $95,000 buyer was very happy! I am not looking anywhere near that but with some effort this could be as nice as that one.
