The 993 variation of the Porsche 911 has always been regarded as the best of the great “air-cooled” era. These cars had the perfect blend of classic Porsche performance with modest creature comforts. Plus, with the introduction of the VarioRam engine, the 993 produced even more power. In particular, the soft-top variants of these cars were some of the best-built open cars of that decade.

This 993 was built in September of 1996. A local Los Angeles Porsche dealer sold it new on October 24th, 1996 to the original and current owner. This 911 was a gift to the owner from his wife and was special ordered with the following factory options:

The owner is a mature professional who simply used the car for light commuting and then weekend use. It was never abused and usually garaged. All services were performed at the local Porsche dealer. Most were done at Beverly Hills Porsche. Highlights/significant services include:

This 993 Cabriolet is in very nice condition. The rare Zenith Blue paint looks great with a few blemishes from normal use (see pics). Both bumpers have some small flaws in the paint due to minor parking incidents. The wheels have some light curb rash and are wearing Michelins that have ½-life in rear and ¾-life in the front. The brakes have about 75% life remaining. The soft top is relatively new and looks great with no discoloration in the rear window.

The interior looks nice as well. The leather seats look great with some light wear on the exit bolster. The carpets, door panels, and dash look great with no cracks, stains, odors or any other issues. The headliner of the soft top is perfect and the factory rear windscreen operates nicely with the top up or down. All the electric functions and gauges operate properly. The A/C was recently serviced, checked for leaks, and blows ice cold.

This 993 drives very tight. There are no rattles or strange noises. The power feels great and the car shifts smoothly. The clutch feels great and the brakes have excellent bite. Whether you are looking for a fun daily driver or a weekend touring Porsche, this would make an excellent candidate.

California registration is paid through October of 2016

This Porsche comes complete with all the books/owner’s manuals, most records from new, tonneau cover, windshield, cover for windshield, extra key/remote (needs new battery), tool kit, spare, tire inflator, and jack.
