Description

76 930 Loaded. Artic white with black interior. very original. Early US car 44k miles. 1976 Porsche 930 non-sunroof coupe VIN: 930 680 0115 Engine: 676033 This is a numbers matching. original paint / interior survivor car that you can drive every day. This car has major investment potential it is a very early turbo. based on the 930 turbo registry probably the 33rd car made for the US. According to the serial number this car was made before the race cars which started with serial number 151. History This is an original US Non catalysis car delivered to the original owner in Ohio. The car was then sold to a noted car racer / collector in Oklahoma City. Oklahoma This car was purchased in 1977 with 10. 85 miles by the 2nd owner a family friend. when I was young and couldn’t drive. I still remember the first time I got a ride in the car when I was about 11 years old. it was an experience. Fast forward to 1992 when the family friend needed some garage space and he asked me if I wanted to buy the turbo. What could I say but yes. So I bought the Turbo from him and have enjoyed it since 1992 at that time the 930 had 39. 84 miles. The turbo has lived in a climate controlled garage its entire life. I have only driven this as a weekend driver. This car has never seen rain or bad weather. I have enjoyed driving my dream car for the last 23 years. But after 23 years it’s time to pass the torch. things in life change and I need the space. Interior Original full leather black interior. It is in great shape for the age. and the only wear is on the driver's side bolster where you slide in and out of the car. The interior condition confirms the low mileage of the car no rips or tears. Original extra-thick pile carpet with "Turbo" script on the driver’s side rear seat back. In great condition for its age. The 930 has what I believe are the original floor mats that were always used so the front carpet has always been covered. Original Blaupunkt Bamberg cassette deck with all accessoriesRecording microphoneAmplifier and four original speakersOriginal power antenna that still worksAdditional control module mounted under ashtrayPower windows work greatSunroof works perfectlyBlower fan and heat controls function as they should. All gauges are functional and have correct date stamps except the tachometer. which has a 1. 5 bar boost gauge. This was a typical upgrade for '76 930 owners who wanted the boost gauge introduced on the '77 models. Headliner is in very good conditionThis car has the very desirable 934 front spoiler which allowed for the addition of a larger oil cooler. This only matters if you want to run the A/c because this model was notorious for overheating if you drove it with the A/c on. The A/c works properly but does leak the Freon out after about 3 years. The compressor has had the belt removed to prevent it from operating. Body Zero rust and zero accident damage. The underbody. rocker panels. and fender wells still have all of the original undercoating. and the virgin condition confirms the low mileage of the car. Paint gauge shows original paint and the readings are consistent all over the car. There are a couple of spots where the paint has been touched up. There is some orange peel in a few spots on the paint if you look real close. this confirms that the paint is the original paint since all PORSCHES of this age show this somewhere. but overall the paint shines beautifully. Every window and body seal and molding on the car is original. The glass shows the original details indicating it is original to the car. All of the original body stickers are still present on the car. In the engine compartment there is one spot where the paint has been chipped and you can clearly see the multiple layers of original paint The car has never been in an accident and the body panel fitment is excellent. Documentation Original German owners manual is included. Original Porsche manual red sleevePorsche Certificate of Authenticity that confirms engine and body matchOriginal Blaupunkt manual in GermanOriginal Blaupunkt wiring diagramsOriginal Blaupunkt warranty cardBook of receipts and records dating back to 1977Complete pictures of every step of the engine work. Book of gas receipts back to 1999 Mechanical The car starts. runs. and drives like a proper 3. 0 930 should. Clutch take up is excellent. shifting is smooth and crisp with no hesitation or grinding in any gear. Numbers matching engine was refreshed by a master Porsche Engine builder. Valve job was done. Original pistons and cylinders were in excellent condition. so they were re-used with new rings and gaskets. All original engine hardware was cleaned and reused. Engine looks brand new!Upgraded to Carrera oil-fed tensionersThe headstuds were upgraded to the replacement Arp. The original 4 speed transmission was in excellent condition. so the fluids where changed. The original exhaust system was checked for leaks and reinstalled. The original heat exchangers where cleaned. New Bilstein B6 Sports shock absorbers (green) all aroundThe wheel spacers date codes were checked and they are consistent with the age of the carThe original date-correct 15x7 and 15x8 Fuchs are in good condition with Dunlop D4 MV tires installed on them.
