Gorgeous 51 MG TD Frame off 8000 miles Modern upgrades and Volvo repower VIDEO

Thanks for taking a look at our cool 1951 MG TD. She is just terrific to look at and what a blast to drive. If you get the chance to own this great TD. you'll find yourself taking the long way home. We did. We found this great MG locally for sale by the nephew of the prior owner. This was his Aunt's baby and had been in the family as long as he could remember. Newport Beach residents for some 50 years. the Doctor's wife fell in love with this MG sometime in the 1970's. She wanted a fun. good looking car she could drive and not fuss over too much. The restoration and upgrade of this car fits that requirement quite nicely and we can appreciate a job well done. This MG TD was the subject of a complete body off restoration some 30 years ago. It has amassed less than 8000 miles since completion. The paint shines up very nicely but does have some nicks from use. The interior vinyl is in presentable shape but does have a few wear marks. Wood throughout and underneath is in excellent shape. Glass is excellent. Chrome is 95%. Some pitting is noted. Though this dapper MG photographs very well. it was built to be driven and driven it was. Upon careful inspection one can discern some slight signs of wear. There are numerous nicks in the paint that have been touched up over the years. The top has been caught in the convertible mechanism and torn. The carpets exhibit a bit of fading. Welcomed with Wows where ever you go with a few nicks of authenticity. Not bad for a 64 year old car!Everything works!Yes. everything works exactly as it should. The TD rides and drives like you always wanted a TD to be able to do thanks to the upgrades. Never hit. the car is straight as an arrow. No body filler. No rust. No cowl shake. Lights. gauges. signals. radio. heater. etc. It's it top mechanical shape. Note the locking package tray beneath the rear floor. The proper knock off wire wheels on five excellent tyres run true and look great. Original White Color. Original Ruby Red interior shade. Original set of keysClean and Clear California title.
