Description

1967 Shelby GT350 #3186. Four Speed. Simply a Beautiful car. Very late production Wimbledon White. no Le Mans Stripes. (my favorite color combo! ) NEVER any rust. original sheet metal. Extensive photos of the floorpans and undercarriage are included. and more are available. NO RUST EVER!!. original California car then spent the balance of its' life in Nevada. 1967 was the last year of Shelby production that was built by Shelby and not the Ford Motor Company. This is the car sold on Pawn Stars. Car is in excellent overall condition. I would put the exterior at a 9 the interior at a 9 and mechanically the car is at least an 8+ on my subjective 10 point scale. While I believe it is a numbers matching car. I cannot sell it as such. as I cannot fully document that fact about the engine. The casting number on the block is indicative of a very late 1967 production block. so it is very much date code correct with the car's production date. and this is one of the last 1967 GT350's built. All internals appear to be Hi-Po internals. and I have photographs for interested buyers. A pair of 1998 articles from Mustang Illustrated and Mustang Monthly state that the car then had 62k original miles. Today. the car shows under 64k miles on the properly working odometer. The tires are the same tires on the car in 1998. and while I cannot document the miles fully. that certainly appears correct. Magazine articles state engine was re-built to original specifications. Magazine articles are photographed in the photo section. I did pull the oil pan and took photos. Hi-po internals and the main bearing caps etc. are indeed present. This car is VERY tight. does not rattle. has ORIGINAL seat covers and is very much indicative of a well cared for. properly stored example. Car starts. runs and stops wonderfully. Very civilized with the power steering unit in place. I have been through the car with some wonderful help from experts on this forum. as in with a fine toothed comb. While I did not do everything that was brought to my attention. all the more significant items were addressed and most of the smaller items. When I purchased the car last year. it did NOT have a power steering unit in place. It now has the correct 1967 power steering unit. drag link. etc. that all work perfectly and have been freshly aligned. I have replaced numerous items on the car including. but not limited to the following: Complete aforementioned power steering unit. drag link et al. Passenger side remote mirror. instrument dash bezel. radio antenna. license plate lamp assembly. horns. numerous under hood items. and countless other small parts. Valves have had a fresh adjustment. INTERIOR: In the interior. the dash pad shows some warping. but I left it alone as it is original. That is the only item at this point that detracts from the interior's appearance in my opinion. Seat covers. again. are original. and they have no rips or tears. Chrome on the fold down rear seat is superb! Inertial seat belts work perfectly. Steering wheel is beautiful. All lights. turn signals. gauges horns etc. work as they should. BODY: Sheet metal is almost all original. Floor pans are original. you can see the drip marks bumps from when it was originally built by Ford. Hood appears to be a replacement. but the radiator support is original. so no consequential accident history is evident anywhere. nor do I believe any ever occurred. Paint is very good and the car shows very well. Mechanically. this car is superb. No smoking. (again. engine re-built not very many miles ago) and engine seems fresh. Top-loader 4-speed shifts perfectly after lubricating the Ford shifter properly. Reverse lockout works properly on the shifter. Traction-lock Rear end with 3. 89 gears. Koni Shocks. about as good as you can get. Appears and feels completely stock down to the dual point distributor which is still running points! Since this was originally a California car. the Thermactor system is still in place. but I do not have a belt on the pump. which is also in place. This car was originally sold with hubcaps. and it now has the optional Aluminum Shelby wheels. I turned the Goodyear Eagle tires' White letters to the inside. but you may prefer to put them back outside. There is a steel rimmed spare with bias ply tire mounted up and jack in the trunk. Trunk area is nicely detailed also. THIS CAR IS SOLID. It just does not feel as if it was built in 1967. This car is a show stopper. Freshly tuned. aligned ready to go. Not perfect. but it is closer than any car I have owned. I am selling it as I am building a new garage. and did not want to store it. I just did not drive it enough. Numerous detailed photographs are available. including undercarriage for interested buyers. $119k Please call 214-902-9724 if you have genuine interest and thank you very much for your time and attention.
