Description

This is a great FJ60. See the PICS for further detail. In short I'm a cruiser hobbyist. I purchased this cruiser as a parts vehicle for my other 60 and 55 projects I have going on. This truck had been sitting behind a building for 2 years and time passed and the owner inclination to fix it waned. So I purchased it. got it back to my place and starting going over it. I quickly realized that this one was too nice to be a parts truck. So I cleaned it up and was amazed at how good she looked with a little elbow grease. The door cards are perfect. rear seat perfect. passenger seat perfect. drivers seat typical hole but overall better than most. The paint came to life. so I started looking at the mechanical bits. The engine compartment is unmolested and all there! The radiator has an unknown problem as was part of why it was parked and I've done nothing to it. but it is included with the sale along with the fan clutch and associated parts disassembled to remove the radiator. The gas tank shows empty. I have not drained it to verify. BUT I checked the plugs. turned it over freely and all seemed good. So I put a little gas in the carb. installed a battery and it literally cranked right up!!!! As to the bad parts:Typical rear arch rust on both rear fendersWill need a passenger rear door. maybe passenger door. and maybe passenger fender. With used panels so cheap to source replacement rather than repair would probably be the more economical route to take. The good:Looks great for being forgotten and left for dead for 2 yearsCranks right upInterior is very goodPaint looks fantasticFrame isn't rustedEngine compartment unmolested. smog intact. just as it was intended to be. So this is a cheap start to an FJ60 project. it isn't perfect but it also isn't $15k. With some work this could be a great truck or just baseline it now and use and enjoy for what it is. Sold where is and as-is. Clean Title. It is for sale locally so reserve the right to end auction early. Thanks
