Description

This is a 1986 Land Cruiser bult for moderate rock crawling and expedition travel and has been all over western North America. It comes with a GM 350 TBI motor (zero time motor from the GM dealership) about 62. 00 miles ago. Transmission is a zero time Toyota H55F 5 speed sourced out of Australia (the US TLC got only a four speed for reasons no one seems to know) The H55F has the first 3 gears lower than the four speed. The differential gears have been upgraded to 4:11 ratio to provide better drivability with larger tires (33/12. 5/15) and new transmission. Transfer case was rebuilt at the time of transmission install. The combination of all the regearing and tire size has ironically resulted in a speedo that is (at least nearly) dead on – maybe a 1 or 2 percent variance. Clutch is a Center force racing clutch. Other items include a STOUT Equipment rear bumper system that carries the spare tire. provisions for two jerrie cans or NATO cans and the high lift jack. Front bumper was custom made to accept a WARN 9500si winch (installed) as well as an air tank. On-board air is provided by a VAIR electric pump which is used both to air up tires and also run the rear ARB locker which is plumbed to the dashboard with only direct compressed air lines (no electric solenoids to fail on the trail which they often do). 4 inch Alcan spring lift with greaseable shackles as well as a ¾ inch polyurethane body lift. A U-bolt flip kit from Man-a-Fre is provided to reduce clearance under the spring perches. Slee brand sliders are provided to protect the rocker panels. These sliders will take the full weight of the vehicle and are useful as a pivot point around rocks on the trail. Additional accessories include High lift jack Tow strapTree saverSnatch block. nbsp;Extra tow shacklesTire deflators. Headlight upgrade for better visabilityCB radio with weather band; hard mount whip antenna for best ground planeAuxilliary fuse blockSpare parts include most of the fuel injection system as well as some other mechanical components. Front seats are out of a Mitsubishi Diamante and are quite comfortable compared to the stock seats. The Good: Have fresh CARFAX - no accidents. etc. Brand new battery. Recent water pump. starter and new rear tires. Recent new windshield within the last two years. Overall good condition for age and usage. The Bad: This vehicle is titled in New Mexico but located in Central California - it will NOT pass CA emissions in most regions in the state without modifications. Front tires are well worn. Crack in the dashboard. “Rock rash" on the passenger side (See photos). A tiny oil leak from the intake manifold valley gasket that leaves a penny sized drop on the drivay after running it a few times. Alway meant to fix it but never had time. The Ugly: Nothing really Video: Click here for a walk around of a dirty truck but you can hear the engine: https://www. youtube. com/channel/UCt4GKnaH7TCB3CReNi2rcTQ
