2003 Toyota MR2. Spyder

The good news. 2003 Toyota MR2 SPYDER. Body is in very good condition. Green with gold pin striping. New fenders and hood and paint installed in April. ($3000)This was part of the restoration due to "door dings" not an accident. There is no rust. Engine runs strong. 4 new tires have less than 200 miles on them purchased in October 2014. New battery, ew windshield and the tan top is in great shape. Interior is clean with some wear on the seats and dash as would be expected in a car with these miles
The bad news: in April 2015 the car was driven to Boulder Toyota (Boulder Colorado) to have the clutch replaced and fly wheel machined,. After the clutch and all new partswere replaced, oulder Toyota could not get the SMT transmission to start the relearn process. As a result the car cannot be driven and as it is unable to place the transmission inneutral so the engine will not start. The car shifted before the clutch was replaced.
The car now has a new clutch, ew battery windshield, enders and hood. All of the spark plugs were replaced in October as well as a synthetic oil change. The transmission computer was checked by Boulder Toyota and was reported as working.
I do not have the time to troubleshoot the transmission. This is a great car for someone to complete my project. I'll try to answer any additional questions that you have. The SMT Transmission worked before the clutch was installed. A 6 speed manual conversion kit is available fromMonkey Wench Racing inDetroit Michigan. Beautiful car needs TLC
