1983 Volkswagen GTI NR good condition

Non-running condition(electrical problem?) i have never put a battery to it. bought to have as future project but now i need the space for father/daughter project. the car is fairly original with a few older upgrades like stereo(that is outdated now). The car has normal spots of rust nothing major that i can see. that being said I'm sure it has rust under wheel well and rocker moldings too what extent I do not know.I'll try to get some more photos up I'm having trouble uploading from my phone but the dash is in immaculate shape with no cracks in it perfect dash
