2004 Jetta TDI wagon BEW automatic. Car looks good, ran new tires, attery, iming belt, ift pump, njector wiring harness and more. This could be a great car for someone 50 MPG. It does have some issues. Sometimes the car runs fantastic, ometimes it is hard starting, ometimes it goes into limp mode and you have to shut off and restart the car in order for it to have any power again. Sometimes it runs smooth, ometimes it runs rough. Shop I took it to said it was fixed and it did run great for a few weeks but then started doing the same thing. Took to another guy, ame deal. I'm 90% sure it's a fuel related issue but I no longer have the time to mess with it. My guess would be the high pressure fuel pump is weak. Am about to move 2100 miles away and am selling all my cars(I have 4 TDIs) Car has got to go, f you know a good mechanic this could be a great deal. I've put $3,000 into the thing and well I'm done...I'm moving to Washington state the 2nd week of March so this needs to go.
