1963 Karmann Ghia Convertible

For a 53 year old car, his 1963 Karmann Ghia Convertible have made it thru in pretty good condition. It would be a perfect candidate for someone to do a full restore for that you have good bones to work with. I found this ghia in pretty sad shape as far as the basics. The drive train was in tach and the top was still in pretty good shape. I put it back to being as stock as i could, ignal light, ight trim, tc. I pulled the engine and resealed everything including the trans, ew pushrod tubes, tc, o their are no oil leaks. Upgraded the dist. to the 009 plus installed the electronic kit, lternator, ires, lugs, ngine rubber, in, tc. We also installed a new clutch since i had it out. I went thru the brakes, ew wheel cylinders, aster cylinder, ads, am still looking for a deal on a conversion brake kit for it.. I installed new wiring harness, use panel, nd did the best i could on the tail lights, ut got them to work properly. new carpet, ot all the gauges and light working. I'll tell you whoever did the drivetrain on this car must have also re geared the transmission, ecause it have no problem on the freeway holding 80-90 mph, nd don't appear to be taching 3000rpm.
It still needs full weatherstripping and paint, ut not much else.
