1970 Volkswagen Beetle Bug Baja VW 1600cc 1600 Dual Port Baja Bug Sick!!!!

Up for sale is a sweet 1970 Baja Bug in good driving/working condition. a 1600cc dual port engine with weber progressive carb. 1700lb pressure plate. 4 puck clutch. electric fuel pump and new battery. Less than 500 miles on a set of fresh rings. The bug itself has been prepped for off road abuse with many common baja bug modifications. The front beam has been reinforced with gussets and the towers have been welded around. hook and rod hard stops have been installed as well as torsion adjusters. The rear suspension has been pre-loaded and the spring plates have been notched to give it about an extra 1. 5" of travel. The body is protected by a custom front bumper equipped with off-road lights and winch. custom nerf bars and a rear engine cage. Inside are two bucket seats for driver and passenger and stock seat belts. empi trigger shifter. offroad steering wheel. gas tank. and battery. Aside from the rear shroud this is an all steel baja; the steel fenders have been copper plated for a unique look!The tires are on spoked offset rims for a mean stance. the rear tires are 31"x10"x15. The front tires are brand new!Although I got pretty far with this bug there is still a lot of project left in it. as an honest seller here are a few things I feel you should know about: The floor was patched with steel panels and there are still a few small holes that need to be patched up. The front nose of the body could use some more finish work; it is secure for off-roading but there are some gaps where I formed the sheet metal panels (see pic of under hood). I was never completely happy with the gas tank mounting in the rear and wanted to redo it but never got to it. The spedometer needs a new cable installed(because of this I do not know exact mileage). The windshield wiper motor is wired up but there are no wiper blades. I do not have keys for the doors. The interior is bare and unfinished. Aside from these issues it really is a fun car that I have enjoyed building a driving; I hope you can enjoy it as much as I did!I will only accept cash for this sale.
