2001 Volkswagen Jetta GLS Sedan 4-Door 2.0L Parts Car Project Car Custom Rims

Vehicle came in as a trade not running. It looks like the timing belt was marked and removed along with the cam sprocket so it does not appear the timing belt broke or stripped out while the engine was running. As to why this was done we do not know. Figure at best find a cam sprocket bolt (may be in the car somewhere)set the timing and the engine runs at worst repaint the rims and keep em keep the radio and other parts needed and junk the car make $150-200 back. So basically the rims and everything else will be almost free. We did not hand turn the crankshaftdidn'twant to take a chance bending a valve. Vehicle does not run the cam sprocket is not connected to the camshaft. The timing belt is not connected to the cam sprocket. The pass front door panel is broken other then that what you see is what you get. Although not shown in the pictures the rear clip (both 1/4s, trunk and tail lights) is intact with no damage.
