Description

I have a VERY unique, rare and special 1960 EUROPEAN with SEMAPHORES and RAG-TOP . This car is something special. If you are looking for a great car to build, this is it. Previously owner had this car for over 25 years. It has been in a barn, patiently awaiting its resurrection. This car is super solid. It's been tucked in between stuff for many years. It is now time for someone to build this car. What makes this car special?
Several things:
*1960 VW Beetle (very difficult to find a SOLID/STRAIGHT early bug these days)
*Factory 3-fold sliding Rag-top (very few '60 bugs were sunroof cars)
*Factory semaphore car (European ONLY!)
*Factory "ice pick" door handle doors (extremely RARE! these are "left-over" door handles FROM THE FACTORY! European models sometimes would use remaining parts from earlier years, until the parts ran out. this creates unusual combinations, making a car like this EXTREMELY RARE!
When you combine ALL of these elements together, you have something of a "one of a kind", especially 56 years after it was built!
It sits on a nice 1960's(?) swingaxle pan. It has the original early style "big mouth" gas-cap-type gas tank. Body is straight! These doors just "CLICK" shut. Check photo of door gaps! The dash is original. The car's restoration started in 1990, with the body being pulled and the original floorpans removed and new heavy gauge pans were installed, the body was set back on, and then all further work stopped. It was rolled into the shed and there it sat, for the last 25 years. There is an engine that will come WITH the car. it was "running when pulled" 1600 47hp dual port with a NEW stock carburetor, excellent heater boxes. The car also has new polished aluminum wheels and tires ( which by themselves are worth a minimum $600 if someone wants to switch them out with original rims and hub-caps)

Interior is bare: 2 front and the rear seat. Rather a restoration, this car just needs BUILDING. Great and solid heater channels and door mounts.

This is the car that no one else will have in your VW Beetle circle.
This car isn't for everyone. But, it will definitely ring your bell if you are a RARE car enthusiast!

Just being clear, in advance.
