Description

Located in PA. I have a '92 SLC VR6 for sale that I bought late last year. Turns out that I'm not going to have the funds needed to finish this already great car as I'd hoped. I bought the car because of the outstanding condition of the body and engine. Anyone looking at this already knows that these cars are difficult to find in good condition. and ones that are fully restored bring a nice price. While they have their faults as most Corrado owners know. they are a throwback in time and are a blast to drive. Everything works on this example. including the rear spoiler. windows. and automatic seat belts. The good: Engine has been rebuilt for performance and speed. Car drives and sounds great. Short throw shift. new clutch and flywheel. 2. 5in custom exhaust. new master and slave cylinders. 268 Cat Cams. GLAC chip. Euro intake with K&N cone filter. Bosch Quad plugs. Black Forest industrial stage 1 motor mounts. cross drilled rotors. Autotech front upper stress bar. Rieger M3 style side skirts. E Code headlights. Momo steering wheel. American Eagle wheels. Bilstein sport struts. Intrax lowering springs. Undercarriage is clean. Interior is gray cloth and carpet shows some wear but is intact and in good shape. The bad and what I wanted to tackle when I bought the car: The aftermarket head unit is outdated and should be upgraded. There is a sub and amp mounted in the trunk. There is a small blemish in the drivers seat but is patched and not torn(see pic). . The last owner re-sprayed the car last Spring a nice stock color(Burgandy Red Pearl) While it looks black in the shade. the burgandy pearl looks great in the sun. While it looks decent. I personally would have spent more money taking the car apart and doing it properly. It looks good. but not to my particular detail. ex:There is still leftover compound in between some gap areas that I haven't had time to tackle due to the cold weather. Door sills should be masked and sprayed(VW still sells the paint in a spray can) The front grill on the car is an aftermarket cheap plastic badgeless one that needs replaced-the louvers were cracked(probably from the cold) and I have since removed them. I don't have a replacement grill but there are plenty out there. While not horrible. whoever put the side skirts on way overglued but with warmer weather and some adhesive remover will look great. There is a Strictly foreign rear diffuser mounted on the roof. which in my opinion. looks horrible. I had plans to take it off in the Spring. however. it does give the car a different look. The previous owner put staggered wheels on -there are larger rear 215/45/17s on the rear which will and do rub with the lowering springs when traveling over these rough PA roads. I was planning to put the same size tires as the front to alleviate this and the rear should be replaced because of this. As is. the tires are like new with plenty of tread. Wheels are nice but have some road chips. Previous owner glued on a VW logo on the center caps which imo look bad. but can be removed as well. As with any car 23 years old. there is some wear in the carpet and door panels. but nothing too bad. The front bumper. fogs. and turn signals are off a G60 and there is a crack in one of the lenses. The vehicle sits in my garage and is never driven in this lousy weather. I just did an oil change with Mobil 1 synthetic and the car is started a few times a week. I put on a battery quick disconnect so the battery doesn't drain. With some TLC and attention to the aformentioned. this car could be a head turner. Be prepared for random people to come up and ask questions. VW enthusiasts will know what I'm talking about. You just don't see these cars. I've tried to disclose everything here but please feel free to email or call with any questions. Again. this is not a show car. but has potential. Vehicle sold as is. Local pickup.
