MotoeXotica is pleased to announce our latest addition, very rare low mile 1984 Harley-Davidson XR1000. After years of customer pressure Harley-Davidson decided to manufacture a road-going version of their XR750 racing motorcycle. Created by using parts from several Harley models; a stock bottom end from the Sportster, LX chassis, nd a retro-fitted XR750 engine. The combination of these parts made for a motorcycle that was easy to ride, ast, nd relatively light weight. Cycle World magazine’s review of the XR1000 stated that “sacrifice brings rewards. For the XR1000 rider, hose rewards are good power, xcellent handling and a motorcycle that’s enormous fun to ride.”

Riding this Harley-Davidson is a real experience; it’s a mix between a sport cruiser and a race bike. Rider comfort and performance are balanced; the air filter location and the heat from the dual exhaust are felt by the rider. However race bikes aren’t supposed to be comfortable, hey’re made to be fast; which this XR1000 is plenty fast. Sorry, o manual or history. This great original bike that is a must have for any collection. The only flaws found are some scratches on handle bars from previously mounted windscreen.
