A single speed transmission transfers engine torque and horsepower to the rear wheel using a chain and sprocket assembly. The bike is assembled to demonstrate the look and concept. final assembly. using properly rated hardware. will have to be made by the buyer. The gas tanks and fiberglass rear fender are coated with Plasti Dip which can be removed by hand. Shipping costs are not included and must be arranged by the buyer. Historically. the Boss Hoss BHC-2 rolling chassis sold for $10. 00 and the crate engine for approximately $2. 00. The bike has never been titled because it is not completed. technically it is brand new. This is standard for a kit bike or custom built bike because the builder typically does not want to enter the vehicle into the DMV database (register it) before it is road worthy. This would result in paying yearly registration fees even though the bike cannot be ridden. Once the bike is constructed and ready for the road the owner registers the bike (enters the DMV database) then applies for a title. In California. the registration is performed using the Certificate of Vehicle Origin and bill of sale. To value the bike the builder keeps track of the costs associated with the build and uses the information to register the bike (this determines the yearly registration fee). I have the Certificate of Vehicle Origin and placard containing the matching VIN number. these come with the bike. Shipping costs and pickup arrangements are the buyer’s responsibility; I can help with some aspects of the shipping process (i. e. packaging. crating. etc. ). All potential buyers should verify with their local DMV to ensure the bike can be registered and titled using the Certificate of Vehicle Origin. placard and build receipts. I am the second owner of the bike. I purchased it several years ago hoping to have it completed by now but sadly have not made much progress.
