Description

I have too many bikes and not enough time. It's time to let a few go to new homes where theycan be enjoyed and ridden. This Firebolt XB12R is very unique. If you're not familiar with Buells, t has a single front brake disk mounted to the rim rather than the axle, he gas tank is the frame, he muffler is under the bike, he oil is kept in a separate reservoir (not in the engine) in the swingarm, t is belt driver (no chain). It's looks are weird to some but loved by others. However, t sounds like a Harley. It vibrates like a Harley (don't even try to see in the mirrors while stopped at a light). It is just a blast to ride and has tons of torque. If it is bought locally or the buyer is willing to pay the shipping costs, have a Buell tank bag that was with it when I got it, hat I'll throw in.I bought it used from a dealer, o I have no idea how many owners it had before me. The muffler is showing some rust, ut I suspect that is normal since it's just painted steel and is below the engine where rocks can easily hit it. I've thought about selling it several times before, ut when I would take it for 1 last ride, 'd fall in love with the character that is has. But it's time to start thinning out the herd and let a few bikes go. On a scale of 1-10, 'd say it's probably a 7. It has normal wear for its age. There's a small scratch on the bottom end of the swingarm where a previous owner must have dropped it. I want to point this out in particular, ecause it was not pointed out to me and the prior seller did not take a god picture of it and I want to be honest to the new owner. Reserve is $3500. Ask me any questions.

The little white specs on the sprocket in the close-up photo of the swingarm scratch is just some paper towel fibers. The sprocket is powder coated rough and I must have bumped the sprocket while wiping down the swingarm. I also notice that I don't have a good photo of the left side of the bike. Nothing to hide, just forgot. I'll get a picture in the next day or 2 and post it up.

If you're a local buyer, 'll throw in a bike cover and Harbor Freight motorcycle stand (see http://www.harborfreight.com/interests/motorcycle/motorcycle-stand-wheel-chock-97843.html). Thestand is too heavy to ship, orry. And if you buy 3 or more of my bikes, 'll throw in a 4 bank battery tender.

I found the tank bag with rain cover and in it were the rear foot pegs, nd belt/sprocket covers, nbsp;I also found some HD polish and swirl remover. I was told that the color is embedded in the plastic, ot painted so you need to use this polish to remove swirl marks. Finally, also found an Ohlins steering damper and some fork & swingarm sliders that will be included with the sale as long as the buyer is local or willing to pay the shipping charges. Pictures uploaded.
I bought the bike in November 2010 with 1415 miles, o I've only put about 350 miles on in in the last 5 years. Hard to believe because it's such a fun bike to ride.
