Description

Very unusual chance to buy extremely rare early 1951 Cushman Eagle. This Cushman Eagle should be in a museum it is very rare to find a true early 1951 Cushman Eagle. this is the only one I have ever seen. nbsp; it was built by Cushman in 1950 and sold to two brothers January 1951 and was titled as a 1951. nbsp; it has remained in the same family since new. nbsp; it still has factory Cushman paint on the fenders and top of gas tank. This Eagle has been in dry storage for many years. I was surprised when after putting fresh oil and gas it started. ran. and drove perfect. I have shown in the pictures key items to show this is a true early 1951 Cushman Eagle. In early 1951 there where only two small pieces of U-Channel under gas tank. the gas tank has small square mounting tabs. the front end has 9 inch stiffeners. late 1951 has 12 inch stiffeners. the mounting points on the luggage rack are round bar. later changed to flat mounting points. The seat tongue support has a sharp bend instead of a smooth curve. the top engine mount is 90 degrees with no curve Cushman replaced with the newer type the original one is included along with the original gear shift knob. The clutch cable has the C-type end not the clevis. nbsp; this Eagle has the round end taillight and rounded dish type headlight. I doubt you will ever have another opportunity to purchase a real true Early 1951 Cushman Eagle. I am 63 years old in bad health and my two uncles are no longer living. nbsp; it is time to pass this Cushman Eagle to a collector so it can be seen and enjoyed.
