Own a beautiful piece of American History. 1949 Indian Scout 249 440cc Vertical Twin. Have owned it for the past 5 years slowly working on it with the intent to do a full restore. Just don't have the time to properly commit now that I have young kids. It is sitting in my garage making me upset looking at it everyday not being able to work on it.
Looks like it was restored probably in the 80's. The bike did not run when I bought it. It had some electrical issues which has all been solved. Bike is in good shape for its age. Engine is in good shape, oes run, eeds a carb rebuild. Excellent compression. Strong and reliable spark now that the original Edison Mag has been completely rebuilt (recoiled & re-magnetized) over the summer with Standard Magneto (Edison) out of Chicago. My next step would have been a carb clean and rebuild. Has really been a great project so far. Really enjoyed it. I have an Ontario Clear Title as well as a bunch of documentation (repair and overhaul manual & parts manual). Contact me if you want any further information.

For the United States, live on the border with Detroit, ichigan and I can bring it over the border and ship anywhere in continental US. You would just have to process the border paperwork yourself.
