1973 Kawasaki KZ 9001973 Z1 900 Kawasaki. Early VIN # in the 7XXX range with a 2-73 build date. all the early KZ900's where built in Japan. The bike was purchased from Omaha Kawasaki Fresh paint (precision color matched) (to many bird drops to save it) and inside coated. didn’t need it but I thought it was a good idea. . Engine and carbs were inspected and repaired if needed. top end rings and valve job approximately one year before storage. original OEM tires (they should be replaced if you are going to ride fast). LTD style seat. wheels are in good shape the rear one has a couple of marks from tire repair. new battery. instruments are good. the front rim is original and in good shape. the front tire looks good. the bike was taken down to the bare frame and stripped and painted. the chrome is really nice many new nuts and bolts to many to list. you won't be disappointed. I spent about four years off and on getting it back to the way I sold it to him. Sorry I don’t have the original pipes or the replacement Kerker exhaust. (The Kerker was badly rusted) These KZ900's where almost always altered in the Omaha area. normally with a Kerker exhaust. K&N filters. and LTD style seat. Has owners handbook. and some of the original tools it there tool bag. This Kawasaki engine starts up and idles flawlessly. runs great. shifts as smooth as it did the day it left the Omaha Kawasaki. all the electrical and gauges work as original. but the horn doesn’t. brakes work great. clutch works perfectly. all cables work smoothly. The Paint and chrome looks better than new. Still has the factory coating on one lever. bike was always professionally maintained I have put around 10 miles on the bike and it is still fun to ride. Can’t go anywhere with out drawing a crowd of like minded Gear heads Please look at all pictures and feel free to ask me any question you might have or if you want additional pictures just let me know. Should you want any more I will send them to you. just ask. I originally sold this bike to a friend of mine; it was setting in his barn for years.
