1974 Norton Commando Interstate 850

This bike was parked inside since 2002. The previous owner had done a complete overhaul including new head, istons and new 32mm Amal MK2 carbs just 4700 miles before he parked it. The bike has Boyer Brandsden Electronic Ignition, ympanum Electronic Voltage Rectifier, 80w Lucas alternator, nd an Electronic Charging assimilator.

I bought the bike in 2013, nd disassembled it, ntending to ride it. I replaced or rebuilt almost all the auxiliary equipment, including a new steel tank, ew seat, nd all Stainless Steel oil lines and all wiring. I sandblasted and painted the frame. As this bike has spent its whole life in California and New Mexico, here is absolutely no rust. The tank and sidecover paint is fresh. No chips, cratches or dents. After 13 years in storage, he bike started on the 4th kick. To my knowledge, verything on the bike works as it should. Unfortunately, ith replacement knees, have problems starting it, herefore, t is now for sale. I am pretty sure that there are more miles on the bike than show on the odometer, ut don't know how many. The bike includes the original shop manual and parts list as well as detailed information on modifications.
