Norton Commando 850 Hi-Rider Electric Start

I bought this beautiful Norton right here on Ebay in 2006 Note that the picture of her in the back yard is as she looked when i was riding her - the picture with the mountain in the background is how she looks todayBeing a limited production Hi-Rider model. he always caused heads to turn and a crowd would gather around her at any biker bar we stopped atPlease understand that she has been stored outside for the past 6 years and I have done my best listing her current defects above - she will need to be given a thorough going over - rubber/hoses etc. new battery and a bit of TLC in addition to the defects listed above in order to be road worthyThe starting bid reflects the condition - I have seen similar Norton's start bidding at $8000. 00The electric start has always been iffy at best - never could track down the problem. so if you don't know how to kick start a bike. this beauty might not be for youThe mileage is obviously NOT original - when I purchased her the speedo wasn't working (showed 36. 30 miles) - I rode her for a couple of years and then had my local Norton specialist mechanic. in addition to doing a thorough overhaul of the bike. replace the speedoShortly after the overhaul I bought my land and haven't ridden her since - I am still building my cabin on the land I purchased and due to poor health. and now being close to 60 years old i have to reluctantly part with my NortonShipping is to be arranged by the owner - I live in the back country of San Diego county and could drop it off at a shipping locationHappy bidding. and hope that her new owner is as proud of her as I was!p. s. please feel free to ask any questions and I shall try to answer them promptly and accurately
