Description

This is my second water cooled Johnson motorbike I have built. It has the rear cast spider attached to the hub like original & driven by a centrifical # 35 roller chain clutch. starting is by rope pull. Engine Is a A-25Johnson outboard cooled by a 1931 inside car heater with manual operated shutter doors & water waterpump. Engine is the same as the famous air cooled Johnson motorbike meaning the rods are offset to accomadate the center line cyclinders. Runs very good with great compression. Run bench time is 10 minuets holding 195 degrees at 18psi Lever control is throttle &ign kill. I have not tried the bike out on the road so do not know the speedit is capable of. Centrifugal clutch kicks in at about 1200 RPM. There hasbeen no gas in the tanksince restoration.Starting engine from a cold start is bythecable pull choke & pushing the float tickler down to flood intake with timing lever in the netural postion with throttle wide open. This of course is with bike up onrear kickstand.Your buying this as is & is experimental. No return on item. Shipping is at buyers exspense but will help in finding a carrier. I can also hold this bike in storage for a reasonable length of time. Not shown in picture is the gas line which has been made up & ready for installation. Head light is powered by a 6 volt battery thatcan be charged Raovac.Battery, ase is Delta.

I have just gotten in original handle bar grips with the Johnson logo embossed on them . I will substitute the grips on there now for the Johnson grips. They are just about impossible to find.
