Description

1977 Suzuki RM250B.There is no title. Bill of sale will be provided. The bike is being sold "as is" and there will be no warrranty given or implied. The stand that the bike is sitting on in the photos is not included in the auction.
This bike isn’t a display bike or show bike. I never disassembled the top-end or pressure tested or vacuum tested the engine for leaks. I rode the bike for a few laps around the local track to test it before listing the auction. I’ve owned it a few years and from the day I first cleaned the carb, t started easily and ran well. It performed well during its short test time on the track.
Some details include:New DC fenders and side number plates. New Vintage Suzuki front number plate. New Uni Filter. New D.I.D. chain and new front sprocket with low hour used rear sprocket. New grips. New J&R vintage silencer. New fork seals and oil. The forks have no rust except for one scratch between the triple clamps. I did run some ScotchBrite over some dings in the fork tubes in the sealing area to knock down the high spots. Blue anodized Goki caps on the forks. New Golden Spectro Gear Lube in the trans/clutch. I ran the bike with Golden Spectro premix. The fuel tank has dents and scratches as well as some black overspray. There is noside stand. There are a couple of small tears in the original seat cover – one at the rear and one in the top (see photo). Both rims have some scratches and the spokes have some corrosion. I noticed a crack in the rear rim after I took photos for the auction, o I replaced the rear wheel with another identical wheel. I shot and added another (final) photo of the rear wheel after I replaced it. The rear wheel including the tire in the final photo will be the one on the bike if you purchase the bike. The replacement wheel is pretty straight but has a few gouges on the rim from tire changes. The bike has an oem chain guide. The shocks are also oem and still have the correct damping and spring feel, n my opinion. The shock shafts are clean and appear to have little or no rust. I properly serviced the air filter using air filter oil and grease on the sealing lip, nd cleaned the inside of the air box thoroughly before installation (see photo). The test ride of a few laps (read above) may have left a bit of dust on my air filter service.
Feel welcome to email with any questions before the end of the auction. The customer is responsible for pickup or shipping. The customer assumes full responsibility for the motorcycle upon the release of the vehicle from the seller to the customer or to the customer's shipping agent. I can hold the bike for up to four weeks before shipment or pickup is arranged.
