I am the 2nd owner, nd I own it since 2005. 10 happy years with it!
55,000 original miles in very good running conditions as of now!
I started a not needed but welcomed, otaloverhaul onthe bike! A few months into doing it, ust when I completed all repairs I had to come to Texas, here I am still....
So, he left over minor re-assembling needs to be finished, ike, he small parts of the top of the fairings, railer Hitch and a few other minor parts back in place! ALL major work was complete and done! Missing detailed and even though just a few lil things but time consuming.
Things done during my ownership:
New gears and gear case fully redone in 2009.
Carburetors cleaned and sinc in 2011.
and in 2014 I have done:
All brake systems are new! back one still need to be bleed but front is already perfect.All New tires with maybe 60 miles on them if that much
New Water pump, everal new hoses, ew starter, ew oil, ew plugs, ew radiator and cover, ew battery, ew backbrakecup, ose and fluid, ew this newthat.... LOTS of improvements done last year by me and my son having a great time working over it all together!
I moved to Houston and my son started college and my bike is there covered in my garage since November 2014. I did run it 3 times since and last time was last Summer ! Took it to wash and did run around town for a week here and there no problemsat all!All electrical has been cleaned and is in perfect operational order. Only foot brake light needs adjustment. but the frontbrakeactivate it alright!no oil leaks no leaks of any kind! and air compressor works smoothly with fully charged battery!
List of things to do that I recall:
Plastic have few really small cracks here and there, omputer screen is fading, hrome can use some polis, leaning, ack break needs to be bleeded, hrottle cable need a new terminal but can be used as is, eat is leather is custom made in california (2500$ job) it has a lil rip and one of the saddle side bags lock needs to be tuned in place. other than that cannot think of anything much else not making this bike very nice. Right base for the mirror has a crack too but holds it in place okay.
I also have the original service manual and 90% all paperwork invoices and maintenances done since 1984 on this bike.
it has also a nice trailer hitch with all frame and ball.
Battery is brand new but there no use for a whole 6 months now! Will need charging.
Selling it as is where is! Sale is final! Bring your mechanic! Ride it inside my parking garage at your own risk. test all you want to test! Bike is solid!
