If you're looking at this auction. then you already know what this is. 1971 Yamaha RT1-B. In great condition for a fourty four years old. Award winner from The Lanz Anderson Auto Museum in 2008 (see photo). Stored in temperature control. my livingroom. Starts on first or second kick. This Beauty was built in September 1970. an early 1971. with a low 10*** serial number. YAMAHA factory Tool Kit. Tools have stamped YAMAHA on them on their original plastic bag. A true time capsule from 40 years ago! Title on hand. This Motorcycle has ALL MATCHING NUMBERS I bought it on Ebay in 2008 (from original owner) with 5150 miles. got it shipped all the way from San Diego. Frame of paint restored by Jack’s Recon. New point. carb cleaned. new oil pump and tune. Runs great! Except for the seat cover (new). seat foam (replased with memory foam) and gas line all other parts are original or NOS (to many to number but. I have receits on all NOS parts). New original tires with about 1000 miles. Never touch dirt after the restoration. This is an excelent collectors oportunity. a true head turner every where it goes. A Great piece of conversation. with some history and TONs of Bragging Rights. The RT1-B was the winner of the 1970 Baja 1000. The BIG ONE. The longest non-stop (off road) race in the world. with a new record for motorcycles of 18 hours 31 minutes. over 2 hours faster than the previous record in the 500cc category. In 2012-2013. my RT1-B. was part of the “KAIZEN Exhibit” ( a one year exhibition) at Motcyclepedea Museum in Newburgh. New York (first antique japanise motorcycle exposition in a mayor museium in the U. S. A. ) sponsored by the Antique Motorcycle Foundation. I have not ride it or start it since I got it back from the museum but. everything looks good. I do not have the time or space to help her with her Needs: help with. neutral light stays on. We disconect decompression valve. Other than that no more needs that I can identiffy. I still rode it like is (carefull releasing the clutch. it still have a lot of power!). I will include a copy of original Poster from 1971. with the specifications of the Bike. One or two copies of original magazine ads also from 1971. A few extra parts like gaskets and washers. Battery charger. service manual and you can have a photo (digital) of the award from The Museum. Please check the photos for more details.
