Up for auction is a 1973 Yamaha DT3 250cc 2 stroke motorcycle. The bike has been completely disassembled to the frame and redone. Some of the original patina has been left for originality. The bike retains its original paint down to the frame. Some small parts have been glass bead blasted and repainted to clean them up. Here is a list of things that have been replaced. Front and rear tires. front and rear spokes replaced with Yamaha NOS sets. Front fork seals. Battery. All rubber bushings on the frame and fenders. exhaust mounting. all seals and gaskets except the crank seals. NOS handle grips. And a ton of Yamaha nos hardware. The bike is in fantastic condition but not perfect. The tank does have some very small dents and scratches that are hard to see in photos. The fenders are in great condition but do have some paint wear marks on them. Seat cover is original with one small tear in the center of top. Chrome is in great shape. All of the aluminum . fork lowers. engine case covers. front and rear brake hubs have been cleaned of the yellow clear coat and re-polished to stock look. The carburator was disassembled. ultrasonic cleaned and all gaskets and orings replaced. I repainted it back to stockcolor black. The fuel petcock was also ultrasonic cleaned and rebuilt with nos Yamaha parts as was the carb. The motorcycle shows very well. I've gotten many compliments on it. Many remember this motorcycle from there childhood. Just turn the key. give it a kick and off you go. she's ready to go. I have a clean Illinois in my name. I'm sure there's something I forgot so feel free to give me a call with your questions. My name is Al and my cell# is 815-814-5772. Thanks for looking.
