Rare 1980 Yamaha XS650 XS 650 Special Motorcycle With 8 Original Miles!

Had to re list due to a buyer never contacting me after sale. So please before you bid. end me an email to confirm serious buyers. Built in 3/80. Vin # 3G0-009788. It was a one owner machine. The day he purchased the bike. he had a friend pass away on a motorcycle . nd decided not to ride. Sadly. it had been stored for the 35 plus years. in a damp garage With fuel still in the tank. In result. must of the chrome has pitting. more in certain areas than others. And some rust on the frame in spots. The Inside of the gas tank was cleaned out. so the inside looks great! with little to no rust. The carburetors where cleaned. New Battery. New plugs. The Foam air filters where quite rotted. so will need new ones. All of the electronics do work. except for the horn. The bike fired right up and runs crisp. holds a nice idle. With only 8 miles its like a brand new machine!. Shifts through the gears. clutch/ brakes feel good. Overall the condition is nice. I will try and describe the bike to the best of my ability. First off. everything is nice and straight. no dents in the fenders. No holes in the mufflers. Tires have only 8 miles. but are original. The paint on the gas tank. has rust spots along the bottom edge. from old gas left in the tank. No dents in the tank. The right side cover has a large rust spot on top. but solid. Left side cover may have some rust spots. No dents in the covers. Paint would be fine for a rider. but to show it. maybe a factory color repaint. Also. the small plastic knobs that hold the side covers are not there. Just the plastic cap cover is missing. assembly is there. Seat has no rips. still very plush. Overall a rare 8 mile motorcycle in nice condition. Either a rider. or maybe a almost nos display bike. Comes with toolkit. owners manual and clear title .
