Description

FIRST TIME EVER LISTED. NO RESERVE AUCTION SO BID TO OWN!1965 CHEVROLET IMPALA SS CONVERTIBLE! 109. 00 ORIGINAL MILES!REAL "SS" NOT A CLONE. Runs and drives GREAT!!!! Lots of summer time fun!Factory 283 V8 with 2spd Powerglide. 109. 00 ACTUAL. ORIGINAL miles (specified on title). Factory interior. Bucket seats. console with clock. Power steering. manual brakes. Power windows all work: Note: (the passenger side door window is a manual crank however the wiring and mechanism is in the door jamb. Door must have been changed at one time in its life. )Original SS hub caps. Newer tires. new battery. a few steel brake lines. both front brake hoses. air cleaner. plugs. wires and other bits and pieces. Original owners manual and many receipts in the glove box. Car runs and sounds AMAZING!!! Drive it on the interstate at 75mph and steer with your index finger! Dual exhaust sounds SOOOOO GOOD! Not smoke. tics. or funny noises whatsoever. Runs like a Swiss watch!Transmission shifts strong. smooth and nicely! Car runs. stops and drives wonderful down the road! Handles the road and turns/curves WONDERFUL!Everything works. horn. lights (hi/lo. tail. brake. back up. dash). gauges. signals and so on. I can only add 24 pics so PLEASE take the time to watch my extensive video of the car prior to bidding. It's a little cheesy so forgive my narration. Body:This car has GREAT curb appeal! BUT. the car is a nice 20 footer. Previous paint job was not a "restoration" quality paint job. More like and "Earl Scheib" paint job. They didn't "jamb" it either. Car has Bondo in various places down low. Specifically in the lower fenders. lower quarters. door corners and rockers. The dated body work is starting to bubble and break in places. Still looks nice though and is a fun "driver" car. Would require extensive body work if you wanted it to be "show quality" but as it sits we get praises everywhere we drive it. There are several small scratches here and there as well as chips in the paint here and there too. Floors/frame:Under the car seems sound for the most part. Floor pans are in very good shape overall. Maybe a few small pin holes but nothing major that I can see. No street signs screwed over big holes with wood screws or anything ignorant. The frame is straight and solid for the majority however the drivers side. inside/bottom frame rail has some rust issues and cancer/rot in a spot about 2' long (see video). Trunk floor may have been repaired/replaced at one time with new steel but it was done very well and the seams look great. I'm not an expert on these things so PLEASE ask or request addition pics if you need them. I'm happy to do that anytime. Interior:Nice and original. Nice clean dash and VERY nice. clearly visible original gauges (all work). Seat have some splits in the seams. Typical. nothing out of the ordinary. Headliner is bad and the car could really use a new top. Power motor for the top works fine up and down. That's about it. The car is priced fair. This is NOT a $15. 00 car! Considering what it is and its overall. good vs. bad condition. I feel it is a great deal for anyone. Drive it and enjoy it and do the cosmetics as you go. It's always going to be an investment and the value will only go up when each repair is made. Car is Indiana titled to me and is clean / clear and in hand. Car is sold "As Is" and "Where Is". No warranty expressed or implied obviously BUT if you are in the area you are welcome and encouraged to come and physically inspect the car anytime you like. Nothing to hide here and we can take it out on the curvy roads or the interstate. Paying:I prefer cash in hand and a handshake but will take a cashiers' check and I will work with you from start to finish 100% on shipping the car. However shipping costs are buyers responsibility. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS ARE WELCOME! NO PAYPAL UNLESS YOU PAY THE FEES! I DO NOT LIKE PAYPAL AND I THINK THEIR FEES ARE OUTRAGEOUS! IF YOU WANT TO USE PAYPAL. YOU WILL HAVE TO BE LIABLE FOR THE EXTRA FEES. SORRY. BUT IT'S UNREAL WHAT THEY CHARGE FOR BASICALLY DOING NOTHING. Thanks.
