1961 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport Convertible SS 348 V8 Bel Air

Up for auction is my 1961 Chevrolet Impala Convertible Super Sport.
HISTORYThe car was manufactured in Van Nuys, alifornia (Los Angeles build plant). Chevrolet produced453 Super Sports in 1961 (142 409's and 311 348's). I understand General Motors distributed an unknown number of Super Sport trim packages that were later installed by local dealers on 348 and 409 vehicles.I purchased this car from the estate of an elderly gentleman that was fighting cancer. He did a majority of the restoration. Upon purchasing the car, was given an envelope with over $30,000 in receipts.
ENGINE/TRANSMISSIONThe car maintains its 348, onsidered the "Big Block" of its day. The motor was rebuilt and performs flawless. The transmission was upgraded from its original two speed powerglide to a 400 automatic. The previous owner did the upgrade because he wanted to tour the car cross-country.

PAINTThe car is painted a beautiful seafoam green. The shows amazing. The car has been lightly driven and enjoyed therefore it is not flawless. I would consider it a strong 9 out of 10.
CHROME/STAINLESSThe bumpers are excellent. The stainless is also extremely nice. I would give them a strong 9 out of 10.
MISC.All lights and turn signals work. The top goes up and down under its own power. All the glass is good. Overall, VERY nice car that captures a lot of attention.
OPTIONSThe car maintains all the correct Super Sport options including, xterior trim package, pinner caps, rab bar 348, uspension, tc. The previous owner added a bolt on A/C system. Additional accessories include, ront and rear bumper guards, ide skirts, ual rear antenna, ual exhaust, onvertible top boot cover, ourtesy lights, eat belts and floor mats. The original AM tuner was upgraded to an FM tuner. The car also has power steering and brakes, hrome intake and valve covers. I also recently added a new set of radial white wall tires. This is an extremely well optioned vehicle.
Overall this car looks amazing and performs even better. I would consider it, s nice a car you would want to drive without having totrailer it. I would absolutely have no hesitation to drive this car across the country on a moments notice. Perfect for cruising, ocal to mid size shows. This car is a proven show winner.
LEGAL STUFFI require a $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of the close of auction. The balance due no later than four days from the close of auction. The car will be sold "as is/where is". I do not care to debate the authenticity of the car. I know all the 1961 SS production numbers. I do not have a build sheet or window sticker. If I did I would be asking $100K. Like I said, purchased the car from an estate. The family said they would forward me additional documentation, f they came across it. Although I believe the car to be authentic, am selling it just as you see it. The only issues I am aware of are, he AC needs to be charged and the driver window requires a little muscle when rolling up. I can be contacted at 714-234-6095.
