Description

Up for auction is a very

Up for auction is a very, very nice 1995 Impala SS in dark gray green metallic (DGGM), the rarest of the Impala SS's three colors. This is not your average low mile or mid mile car for that matter. This car has perfect paint, it was repainted in the factory dark gray green metallic using the correct base coat/ clear coat process with only PPG products, and I would challenge anyone to find a nicer DGGM Impala anywhere in the country. The car was blocked extensively during the painting process to ensure all panels are straight as mirrors, and it goes without saying that all trim, glass, handles, locks, weatherstrip, bumpers, lights, and emblems etc were removed and replaced in order to achieve a restoration-quality finish. As such, the luster of the paint is literally better than new, since the bodies of these cars were painted separately from the bumpers, and even when new these Impala's had a paint mismatch between the bumpers and the rest of the car (which gets worse over time with UV exposure). This Impala consistently attracts crowds at the local cars and coffee, as it usually has the deepest, "wettest" finish of any car in attendance. This Impala has been a Southern California car since new and as such there is no rot whatsoever, which often plagues the floors, 1/4 panels, and body mounts on these cars. This Impala has never been smoked in.

Unlike many Impalas of this generation, this car is very mechanically sound. It does not make any excuses nor does it come with any "it needs this" clauses. I am an ASE certified mechanic and I intended to keep this car for a long time and eventually do an LS swap on it, so all repairs have been performed without any expense spared. All of the common B-Body issues have been attended to, using only the best parts. The a/c is cold and the heater is hot - thanks to a new AC Delco a/c compressor, accumulator, hoses, and a new AC Delco heater core. The steering is as tight as new, thanks to new Moog steering components, and the car drives straight and true-- you can steer the car with one finger over ruts and ridges in the road, without the car wandering. There are no leaks, the engine starts up immediately, the transmission shifts like new. I would not hesitate for one moment to drive this car cross country (although it's nice enough that it should probably be shipped). This car is absolutely not a shiny garage queen Impala with flat spotted and dry rotted tires, sloppy steering, or lukewarm air conditioning like so many out there! This is a car that makes zero excuses, both in its appearance and its mechanicals. If you've been looking at 1994-1996 Impala's but have been nervous about what mechanical issues are lurking under their handsome appearance, this is a great car to consider as it quite literally needs nothing!

Why I am selling this gem? Well, when you pick the car up you'll see how many cars I have. The wife has asked me to cull the herd a little for our move into our new house, and so I have chosen three of my cars to be put up for sale. As much as it pains me, when I have a chance to write the ads properly, I'll also be listing two more of my cars. This Impala has a clean and clear California title in my name, and I will be glad to assist with domestic or international shipping or airport pickup should you decide to drive it home. My phone # is 805-765-1218 and please feel free to call or text anytime.
