This ‘survivor’ time capsule GTI is a very rare VR6 version, s most of this vintage were made with the 1.8-turbo engine. This car is extremely clean for it’s age, nd represents a step back in time for those who are enthusiasts of the hot hatch. While not specifically a wagon, e love this generation of GTI and will offer other cars we find cool as well as our wagons!

What makes this car even cooler is that it’s mostly stock, ut has some of the best period modifications. A Neuspeed intake and strut-tower bar dress up the engine bay and make the car sound fantastic. Further contributing to the beautiful narrow-angle-VR6 soundtrack is a Techtonics exhaust. This car really does take you back to another time!

The car was owned by a VW mechanic in Salt-Lake-City Utah, o it’s completely rust-free – another impossibility for cars like this in our area. And although it’s showing 183k on the clock, t’s actually undergone a complete overhaul 13k miles ago – the engine was out for full timing chain service, lutch, ll water pipes/seals/gaskets, tc. This car starts right up, dles perfectly, as no leaks and shifts like butter. It really is a remarkable car!
