Description

This auction is for an extremely rare and desired 1969 Oldsmobile 442. 2 Door Holiday Coupe with the optional W-32 package. A total production of 297 cars with this option were built. 25 Sport Coupes (2 door sedan). 25 Convertibles and 247 Holiday Coupes like this one. It has Power Steering. Power Front Disc Brakes. Bucket Seats with Console. Floor Shift. 3 Spoke Teak Wheel. 14 Inch Rally Wheels. Tinted Glass. 12 Bolt Limited Slip. Power Rear Antenna (we have original radio) and whats is left of the black vinyl top. Car was an original triple black car. matching numbers 400 Cubic Inch Ram Rod motor (rated 350 hp) and matching Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission. These cars were not availble with standard trans or air conditioning. They also came with a special cam shaft. distributor. heavy duty waterpump. aluminum fan with special fan clutch and W-32 front fender decals. Also other mandatory options were anti spin rear axle. fiberglass belted tires (which are long gone) and painted hood stripes. We do have the rare numbers matching distributor as it was replaced with a Mallory. Also has the rare matching numbers carb. The car is a 3 owner car. Purchased new in Minneapolis MN. We have owners book and protecto plate along with warranty card and option booklet. Was sold into New York to the second owner and then into Maine. The motor was completely rebuilt by the second owner who was from New York. We are currently trying to get in touch with him to get the reciepts. The car runs and drives fantastic. You could use it like it is and fix as you go along. The body is real straight and solid. I did notice a minor spot on the bottom of the right front fender. There is a spot of perforation just starting on the drivers side front floor pan just above the transmission cross member. The only other rust is in the trunk pan on the left side by the wheel tub area and lower from there. The rest of the pan is solid but if you are going to do a proper resto you would replace it. All glass is good. doors open and close great. Interior is all original and actually quite decent with the exception of a little wear on the drivers side seat. Dash is excellent. Headliner is great. As you can see in the pics the vinyl top is pretty much gone but the roof is solid with no rust. Car has the original box trailering arms for the rear end. It also came with forced air induction with scoops bolted under the front bumper and came up through the inner fenders to the breather. Those pieces are missing but they are avaible through aftermarket sources. We have a lot of research paperwork to verify rareity. Great addition to your Oldsmobile collection. Will be sold on a Maine transferable registration and proper dealer paper work. We require $1000 dollar deposit at the end of the auction and balance to be paid with in 3 days of the sale.
