Description

This original flat head 4 cylinder 1949 Willys Jeepsterruns, rives, nd has a good drivetrain, ut is not a driver. It needs a full restoration. The engine runs well with no knocking or obvious faults. The column shifter works like it should and the transmission shifts and operates well. This Jeepster has the optional overdrive, ut the cable is frozen.

There has been numerousmechanical items addressedin the last year. My intention was toget itrunning and operable prior to tearing it apart for a restoration. I am only selling it as I have too many projects and way too little time.

Both the front suspension (including new king pins!) and rear axle has been rebuilt. The driveshaft (including Detroit style joints and boots) and the brakes (including all new drums) are all rebuilt. There are various new parts, hich have been installed so this can be started and driven, nd any work completed has been done properly. The radiator has been rodded out, ew water pump, oses (oil and water, rake), lugs, istributer, ires, ebuilt carb, leaned out gas tank and fuel system, ith NOS Carter glass bowl filter, ew steering wheel, indshield rubber replaced, tc.....

The original wiring is shot, nd is currently re-wired to start, harge the battery, nd have brake lights. However, new OE style harnessis included with the Jeepster.
This has no body rust or evidence of rust repairand the frame is not rotted. The inner and outer rocker panels are solidandnot rusted through.

There is some rust that has penetrated through the floor pans, s shown in the pics, owever they are there and mostly solid, nlike most unrestored jeepsters. Thefloor supports are solid and not rusted out either!
The seat frames are all good, nd the springs are repairable/restorable.

This is a beautiful candidate for a concourse restoration and is one of few that hasn't rusted away or been chopped up and made into a hot rod. These Jeepsters were only produced from 1948-1950, ith leftover inventory sold as 1951s. There were only 19,000 Willys Jeepsters ever produced and these are very hard to come by. These bring around $40,000 when restored correctly. The beauty of the Jeepster is that Willys used many jeep and Wagon/Pickup parts, o these things are easy to restore if you find a good candidate. This is a great candidate for a concourse (as new) restoration and is a very complete vehicle. Please note: All convertible top frame components are there, ncluding the side curtain frames which are not pictured, ut will come with the vehicle.

This Jeepster has never been wrecked (has a few minor dings dents) and has a clear Arizona title and original factory vin plate. It is currently registered and local bidders may contact me via ebay to view and drive the vehicleprior to bidding. This vehicle is located in Phoenix, Z, 5083
