Description

Up for sale is my 1965 Riviera. The car comes well optioned. It is equipped with power brakes, power steering, power windows, power antenna, way power seat, eluxe interior w/tilt steeringand A/C just to name a few. It has the trunk release in the glove box and the rear seat speaker too. Clam shell headlights work perfectly too!

The car has a very RARE engine option. The rarest actually. It isthe same engine as the Grand Sport only it has 1 four barrel not 2.EXACTLY the same otherwise. The car has it's Original 425 (born with) nail headmotor with 340 hp. Trust me 1-- 4 barrel is plenty!

They only made2,311 Riviera's with this option compared to 3,808 Grand Sports. Its got plenty of power and sounds incredible! The sound is amazing! Car drives like a dream.

This car is one of the best driving cars I have ever owned. It starts on half a turn of the key and purrs/growls. It does not leak 1 drop of ANYTHING! Tons of power! Underside is dry as a bone and completely rust free. I would not hesitate to drive this car across thecountry. Of course I would lose my shirt on gas as it guzzles the stuff. Can't even imagine it having 2-- 4 barrels!!

Mechanically as I said car is amazing and everything works as it should. Drives straight and true at 70mph no problem. Really nice ride. No rattles. Solid car. Brakes are amazing considering they are drum all around. You would think they are disc the way the car stops. One of the best things about this car is the sound though. Its got such a nice low deep rumble.

Glass is amazing, tainless and chrome are all very good to excellent. Interior is in very nice shape with no rips or tears. 1 seam on the driver seat is starting to separate but that's it. Overall really nice. Headliner is very good also. Driver power seat works intermittently. Car needs a new carpet installed. I havethe new carpetas well as thejute sound deadener. NewCarpet goes with the car. I also have a new rear deck lid that also goes with the car anda lot of extras like all new weather strippingandBrand new custom floor mats.

Interior could use some refreshing on the wood inserts and at some point someone replaced the clock with a tach (which works). I have the orig clock. Steering wheel is excellent. Dash and console show well also.

Paint is really nice overall. It has had a repaint but do not know when or who did it. It has some blemishes here and there but nothing that stands out.Tiny stuff. You have to get up close and personal to really see. Not very noticeable. I would say paint is a solid 7 out of 10. No rust bubbles. Panel fit is great on the car. Its a really really nice driver. Solid # 2 car all day long.

Overall its a great car that does not need anything. Really nice original unmolested car with low orig miles (my opinion). 100% turn key car. I believe the mileage is original by the way the car feels and drives. It's veryhard to replicate. Just feels right. Having said that I cannot verify with this withdocumentation unfortunately. It's just my opinion. Come take a look for yourself.

If you want to take it to the next level I would say it wouldn't take much. Personally I would leave as is and enjoy it. It's a really cool car.

I'm sure I left some stuff out so if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Cal, mail or text.

Just wanted to clarify something someone brought to my attention. The "deck lid" I was referring to in the description that needs work/replacing is the interior deck lid inside the car just above and behind the back seats where people usually mount speakers. The vinyl covering is loose so I purchased a new deck board that needs to be recovered and installed OR you can just fix the existing one by spray gluing it down if your handy. The exteriortrunk lid /"deck lid" on the car is fine. No issues there. Thanksand sorry for any confusion.

I had a request of the car running and how it sounds so I took a short video. This was from a cold start. The light on the dash that I am focusing on in the video says cold. It goes on when you start the car. It goes off automatically when the car warms up.lol Pretty cool for 1965.

Lastly the part I was referring to in the ad is called the "package tray". Got a few informative emails on that as well. Thanks!

Enjoy!
