This is a rare and beautiful estate find. I can not keep it, so here it is.
All original 1965 Buick Riviera Gran Sport. This one has the optional Super Wildcat engine with the dual quads.
The car was found in a 50 year collection of Rivieras and parts that I acquired.
This car is all original. It has it's original paint and upholstery. The body is mostly solid. There is some rust on the passenger side floor. The seat was moved to show the rust in the pictures. The interior is nice.
The original numbers matching engine and transmission are out of the car. The engine has been rebuilt but never re-installed. It is on a home made stand. The transmission is mounted on a rolling stand as well.
The original carburetors were not found in the buildings. They are missing. The air cleaner is here.
There are exhaust manifolds still in the car and there are exhaust manifolds on the engine. Both pairs will go with the car.
There is a NOS headlight motor and air filter as well as some other loose parts.
I removed the ignition switch and had an original key cut by the code on the cylinder, so the ignition switch is loose but original, and the key matches the door locks.
I have not opened the trunk. I tried to open it with a long screw driver, from behind the back seat. I also tried removing the latch bolts from there. I couldn't get it open and do not want to drill it out. So the buyer can do what is necessary. I didn't see any parts in there, and it looked solid. I took pictures on the sides of the gas tank, and you can see it is solid.
The paint on the trunk lid is rough. The hood hinges are off but a pair is included.
I have a clear NJ title, in my name.
