Description

The ultimate upgrade engine, the SVX gives you scads of power and a beautiful powerband. The transmission was also rebuilt at the time to accomodate the increase in power. Funnily enough, the flat 6 cylinder Subaru engine fits better than the stock 4 vw four cylinder!
If you know syncros you know how exceedingly rare they are. I've taken it out in the woods four wheeling and it held its own quite nicely indeed.
Comes with factory air conditioning, as well as the Locking Differential. Cruise control but its not currently working.
Lots of extras: 15" South African wheels, tires have very few miles on them (see pics to see the tread.) The spare has never been used. Fog lights. Upgraded headlights. Upgraded instrument cluster (see pics). Mosquito nets. A bra to protect the front. Inverter and microwave (battery will need to replaced for the inverter.) Roof rack (the extra bit sticking off in the pic is a removable pole so you can put your boat up there single-handedly).
It had a tune up last year and was running fine but has since sat. So factor in a new battery and prob tune up just to get things perky.

Originally belonged to an 80’s soap opera star. I won’t say who but I have receipts going way back that include her name.
On the to-do list:

The odometer kicked out a few hundred miles ago, I’d say less than 500 (probably much less in fact.) One of the headlights needs replacing.

The top will need replacing. I have a new one that comes with the vehicle, just haven’t installed it.

Sundry bubbles in the paint that you’ll want to get attended to.

Some of the window rubber is getting old and cracked.

You’ll notice the extra knob for the driveshaft decoupler. It never worked right so I returned it, but kept the knob so the dash wouldn’t look funny.

Please note that I am not accepting Paypal for this auction, payment must be by cashier’s check or wire transfer. Please note as well that pickup/shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. It sits in a place where it can easily be towed/put on a flatbed.

Lastly, the vehicle is offered as-is, with no warranty implied or given, and no returns. I've done my best to describe and document it carefully but it's possible I missed something, so I encourage you to come and check it out.
