Also the fender tag is on the car. The car is all matching numbers I have located the numbers on the engine and Transmission and body. July 26. 1968This car has been decoded and documented by the guru Galen Govier and is in his registry. I have all the documents from him about the car. This car has a build date of July 17. 1968 . This at the time of decoding was the oldest build date in his registrywhich makes this car one of the last or possibly but not yet confirmed as the last Roadrunner built in 1968. The car retains its original sheetmetal. no panels or fenders or doors were replaced during restoration. he only change made to the car during its restoration was a color change. The car when built was a ww1 white. The color was changed to the 1968 Matador Red when repainted and was done very nicely and completely withnone of the original color visable. The car was completly stripped and painted inside and out. Mounted on the chrome 500 wheels on the car is almost new set of redline radial tires which makes the car fun to drive and they make the car handle great. I also have to go with the car a set of 4 firestone redlines bias ply which are alsolike new and one of the original red lines that came on the car from the factory.
