Seems like every vintage car I see these days claims to be RARE but few of them are. It's important to be aware that there were millions of Land Cruisers produced and shipped world wide but none of them meet the standard set forth in the USA except the trucks Toyota built and shipped to the US market. This"two owner" USA Spec FJ40 is one of the three hundred imported to the USA. 1983was the FINAL YEAR the FJ40 was available in the United States. Of those 300, bout 50 had factory power steering and air conditioning.She deserves the moniker "RARE"

Land Cruiser Nationis selling this 1983 FJ40 for a customer. The truck is currently at TLC 4x4 in CA where they report that she runs and drives very good. There are several photos if you click on the link below.

Full off body restoration. Every nut and bolt came off, ost replaced with either stainless (for exterior pieces) or anodized (for interior), except seats, oll bar and seat belts which got new grade 8 hardened steel bolts)

Paint:

Black trim: Frame, xels, ost small brackets and most underside components painted in POR-15,White trim: Roof, rill bezel and rims (all 5) sandblasted and painted inside and out

All silver trim: repainted with the exception of the hood and windshield hooks which were replaced with stainless (due to the moving parts), ome heat shields and some other engine trim

Body panels: all painted in Toyota code 857 medium blue original color for this truck.

Seats and floor mats: all original material which meant that I had to tolerate a few small blemishes bit I felt that would be better than the new incorrect replacements

New (less than 500 miles on these parts)

  • Engine rebuilt by Anchorage Drag Bike, ew rings bearings, il pump, ull gasket set, ead resurfaced new valve seals
  • Waterpump, hermostat

  • Main emission switching cluster and valve set ($800 bucks!)

  • Most hoses (water and air)
  • All 4 door rubber weatherstrip
  • Both vent seals
  • Window windshield rests (on hood)
  • Factory new (not reproduction) front fenders
  • Front and rear turn signals, ear turn signal rock guards
  • Clutch brake and gas pedal pads
  • Rear view mirrors
  • “Landcruiser”, 4x4” and “Toyota” emblems
  • Body mounts (rubbers) and body bolts and washers
