Description

This item Sold but the buyer never responded to requests for payment. A resolution case was opened with eBay but the buyer (Deadbeat might be a better name) never replied to eBay either so we are re-listing the bike a second time. We have decided to sell our 1966 CA95. As of today. the bike shows 491. 6 documented original miles. It is complete down to the never used tool kit. and original tires. This Honda has a very interesting history. This bike was one of 6 identical Honda 150's that were purchased at a dealership in Birmingham Alabama in 1966. The 6 bikes were purchased by a group of Shriners who used them as part of a motorcycle drill team in parades and similar events. One can only imagine seeing 6 Honda CA95's weaving in and out of a parade route piloted by Shriners wearing those cool hats with the tassels. When we received the bike in 1985. it still had red. white and blue streamers hanging from the handlebars. and at least a dozen American flags attached along the center of the handlebars and at the top of the tail light bracket. Nearly every part on this bike is factory original. The paint is original. no touch ups that I am aware of. The seat is original with it's red vinyl. Original tires. The chrome is excellent throughout. I has a newly rebuilt fuel petcock as the original was seeping fuel when I gassed it up a couple months back. It has a new battery only a couple months old. The bike is an amazing survivor and is undoubtedly one of the nicest and most original unrestored Honda CA95's to be found anywhere. " It starts and runs. shifts and stops like it should. This bike has been stored inside since 1985 when we purchased it. I has been in an office stored without fuel in the tank or carburetors and without a battery. It has fuel on board now and a fresh battery. It does have some minor flaws. There are some spots on the inside of the speedometer lens. Not sure what they are from. The right handlebar grip has cracked with age. The crack happens to be at the bottom and not visible unless you look so we decided to just leave it since the bike has only been on display. These grips are available if you want to have a perfect grip rather than the original that came on the bike. It does not have a title. When we were buying it from the original owner's widow we asked for a title. She could not provide one but did provide a letter from the motor vehicle department in Alabama stating that in 1966 titles were not issued for motorcycles. We have that letter and will provide a bill of sale. If you want help obtaining a California title I am willing to do this tedious work for an additional fee. Call me and we can discuss it. I will not ship the bike. but will help coordinate shipping on my end. If you are in the greater SF Bay area I would consider delivering the bike to you. If you live in Southern CA contact me for delivery. I am in the Santa Barbara/Carpinteria area frequently and could help get it that far for you. The bike is for sale on club websites and locally. If it sells off of ebay I reserve the right to end the auction early. Please contact me if you have any questions. Thanks. /p> Allen
