I got this bike from the Denver area about 4 years ago in trade towards a CBX, t had been in dry storage for a long time & a 1 owner bike until 3-14-2011, he carbs needed serviced etc..
I couldn't believe how clean the bike is! There was absolutely ZERO rust on ANY of the hardware or frame & it's totally original paint except I painted the black gas tank after I cleaned it out. I restore high-end mopar musclecars for a living & have had many, any 1970's big c.c. japanese bikes over the years. I couldn't stop myself from taking the GL1000 down to the engine sitting in the frame & painstakingly cleaned, ubed, erviced, ad the carbs professionally kitted & synced, leaned electrical connections, ew water pump, ew thermostat & flushed radiator, ew fork seals, ew fuel pump, ew tires, ew battery etc., VERYTHING IS ORIGINAL TO THE BIKE except for basically the fuel line to the fuel pump, he black paint on the gas tank, he tires & the n.o.s. water pump & fuel pump. All original cables, evers, rips, enses etc. etc.. It runs & performs like new!! The clutch works great, he tranny works perfect, t has surprising power, nbsp; There is one small ding on the right side air scoop around the radiator & a very small scratch on a lower side cover. These are getting very collectible & the best bike to collect is a nice, resentable survivor. Check my feedback & invest with confidence!
Email or call with any questions. Thank you- Paul 402-202-2263 The bike is in Lincoln, e. right on I-80. I may be able to provide enclosed transport or I'd be happy to arrange truckiing for you
I just had one person ask if the downpipes coming from the cylinders are tarnished? I just added a closeup of the chrome heat shields and they are very nice but have a few water-spots, couple bugs from last fall & a couple VERY minor scuffs, he grey color that shows in one of the pictures is a reflection of the painted garage floor. The above pictures do not do the bike justice, must be a little shaky? Thanks
I will be going to Washington state in the next few days (7-20-15 now) with my enclosed car trailer, could deliver the Honda very economically if it's not too far out of the way? Call if you have questions.
