NOW is the time buy this one and watch what happens to your money----it's going to be way better than money in the bank. Black and tan are one of the best color combos and this is one of the prettiest roadsters you will find. This car is really beautiful and clean. I've owned this '86 Alfa Romeo roadster for about 3 years. I got tired of it sitting around the warehouse (I drive my cars) so I decided to start driving it and checking it out. Here is what I know about this car---all of the estimated 100 or so miles that I have driven it. After test driving the car for a while. I brought it back to the warehouse and noticed oil leaks under the car. it never overheated. then I took it to my mechanic and he said it was a head gasket. So we took the head off. did a valve job. all new gaskets. water pump and a new battery. ($1800) in receipts will go with car. Engine starts right up and runs smooth and cool. as it shifts right through the gears. All of the the transmission synchros seem to be good. Emergency brake works and will hold a hill. It drives straight down the road and the brakes are good. The speedometer works fine but the odometer is not registering miles. All of the gauges and lights work on the dash. Coming from Texas. there is no rust. The body is really nice free of dents and dings. The soft top is excellent. The interior is nice but there is one blemish about 3" long (pictured) on the passenger seat upper left bolster. on the driver's seat there is seam separation on the upper drivers seat. The remote trunk opening latch needs to reattached. There is approx 4" Crack in the dash. one of the dash defroster doors is missing. The carpeting is nice. door panels are good. One of the knobs for the climate control is gone. The map pocket on the driver's door won't push in properly. The air conditioning compressor kicks in and it's trying to work. It has a newer exhaust that looks real good. The original alloy wheels and tires are very nice. I don't think it will cost much to repair these items. but I need the room badly. I have a ton of projects that have been laying around too long that must be finished. so I'm selling!
