Great year for these vintage sports cars in both value and performance. The 2L produced 130 HP and could reach speeds close to 120 mph with the mechanical SPICA injection system. 1973 was one of the Spider's last years before pollution controls started robbing these engines of their spunk. Original color was Giallo Pagoda (light yellow). Work completed:- Powder coated the stamped steel wheels (no more rust from original spray paint) and added 2 new Pirelli Veloce's- Replaced brake lines. pads. rebuilt each caliper and master cylinder- Replaced fuel lines. fuel pump. fuel filter. coil. plugs & wires- New stainless steel exhaust system with accurate muffler- Replaced and adjusted thermostatic actuator- Repacked all 4 wheel bearings- Replaced fuel injection pump beltTo Be Completed:- Replace 2nd to 3rd gear synchromesh (it shifts as is. but can be rough)- Turn signals do not work (not sure if it's relays or other issue - this is where I stopped working on it)- Rear bumper is not secured and front and rear bumpers could use a little straightening but are OK as is with good chrome- Interior needs to be overhauled: reupholster seats. replace dash. shift boot. horn cover and convertible top- Body work is satisfactory for a driver. but paint should be removed and redone (I was also going to cut and replace lower fenders with International Auto kit before repainting)- Replace headlight rings- Replace suspension bushings all aroundSpare Parts:- Heater and blower unit- tail light lens- old thermostatic actuator- rearview mirror- car coverOn Apr-22-15 at 12:19:58 PDT. seller added the following information: Updated information . . .
