I am selling my 1973 Alfa Romeo GTV too many toys. The description below was the sellers description is the of the car when I bought it 1-1/2 years ago. ". "73 Alfa Romeo GTV with a Jafco Turbocharger kit installed. 200HP. This is very period correct turbo kit with record going back to 1990. Concours Cars (Colorado Springs) installed the engine and chassis modifications originally in 1979. upgraded again in 1990. Engine and gear box have less than 10. 00 miles since rebuild. The engine has perfect compression. Gearbox has no syncro issues. The brakes and suspension are a perfect compliment to the power of the car. The Alfa has a large safety margin so the car can be driven without worry. Recently repainted it's original color AR501 (Red) European side markers. New gasket style windshield. chrome . bright work. and undercarriage are in excellent condition. Maintenance is up to date. Numerous "Best of Show and "Best in Class" awards. If your looking for the ultimate tasteful GTV this is the one like it in the country. " The above description when I bought the car was mostly factual except for: The dash was cracked and has been perfectly repaired with a dash cap. The bumpers were scratched and tarnished. I had them polished they look new. I also have the bumper uprights. The gearbox has a kind'a weak 2nd gear syncro. but is certainly drivable (I personally double clutch) Additional info pros and cons: The car runs and sounds perfect (except when the turbo pop off valve flagellates) The brake calipers were upgraded to BMW 2000tii- not stock but are fantastic. I have original calipers. Tires are almost new. The turbo has a computer. mounted under the dash. to adjust different boost setting. as well as a boost gauge and oil temp gauge mounted in the dash. The turbo is currently set to 6psi of boost. I've never touched it. The original owner says you can run up to 10 psi There are some suspension modifications which noticeably improve the handling however it does not have a harsh ride. Everything works except for the turn signals. never got around to having them checked out. The car has an GTA Grill. I have the original GTV. Cosmetically the ALFA looks great. the paint is gorgeous no dings. rock chips etc. seats are perfect. headliner has some minimal staining and could use a touchup. With an exception to the drivers side window which has some vertical scratches. all the other glass is perfect. no scratches. pits or rock chips. The odometer shows 67667 miles. I only driven the car about 700 miles since I bought it. I don't know if the speedo has spun or not. but judging by the condition of the Alfa I think not. The original owner maintained that the car has never seen a drop of rain. nor has it since I've owned it. I also have numerous parts and pieces which I received from the previous owner. I have described the vehicle as honestly and truthfully as possible. If you have any question please contact me (925) 200-4556 Payment: Deposit of US $1. 00. 00 within 48 hours of auction close.
