OWNING/DRIVING: I have owned three Alfa Romeo's, this one is the best of the bunch. Since you don't see many 70's Alfetta GTV's (minus GTV6) on the road this is a true survivor car. Most have rusted out which is sad because they are such balanced fun cars to drive. I have driven this car all over southern California (see photos). It has never failed to start but I do carry a tool bag. It has been in lots of SOCAL CAR SHOWS and gets tons of thumbs up. The car also gets lots of photo op from valet parking guys :) ... I try to drive the car into LA at least once a week from my home in San Fernando Valley. The route is through Topanga Canyon twisty country, PCH, through Veniceand into LAX. So it does get pushed and if it breaks it gets fixed. I do all my own work but when the need arises for special tools/hoist the car is worked on @ John's Alfa LA (thanks Benny :).
MAINTENANCE HISTORY: The back story for the car is it sat for 12 years in a garage belonging to a church. The pastor of the church had died and the car was put up for an estate sale. I answeredthe ad for the car but it was in very bad shape but, it was a complete car. For the next 4 years it was on jack stands undergoing refit. It was leaking oil badly from the rear main seal. So the engine was removed cleaned up and repaired. While the engine was out a new water pump was installed, radiator was rebuilt and alternator/starter were also rebuilt. The pistons in side fuel injection pump were cleaned or replaced. The drive shaft was also removed and sent out for re-balance and reinstalled with all new rubber donuts. Being an Alfetta it had rust (see photos).
SPARE PARTS: Like I said lots of new and rebuilt parts ... From water pump and starter to breaks and tires to fuel pump/sending unit to exhaust system and paint. It also has Koni shocks installed with the larger torsion bars from the GTV6. The car also has a set of Headers. If you drive it, you will be impressed! All the bad Alfetta traits have been dealt with like overheating on hot days. This Alfetta comes with two spare Alfetta engines with fuel injection pumps, GTV drive shaft, new left and right door seals (have not had time to install seals), transmission with new clutch, spare radiator core (one on car has been boiled and double rowed, no overheating), spare radiator fan, brake rotors, air pump and lots more. It needs a new owner to take it to next level Alfisti !!! The support parts are all there ...
No goofy buyers ... No cash, don't bid !!!
