This is a rare example of a 2.2L Impreza with virtually no rust on the underside or body (even the rear wheel arches are clean). It was owned and driven in Nevada for most of it's life before coming to New Jersey and then to me (2 owners in that time). Please read the below carefully so that you are aware of the overall condition. The car starts fine (cold or warm) it hums/idles evenly. It does not overheat while driving, r sitting. The heat and A/C work properly. The transmission shifts smoothly and works fine in all settings. I've driven it on secondary roads and up to highway speeds and it grips and handles well. The exhaust is quiet and in good shape as far as I can tell. The alloy rims are in great shape and the chassis is in remarkable condition. This is a non-smoker car.
It does need some work to get it running up to spec. Here's what needs attention: There is one CEL Code (P0141 for the rear O2 sensor (no other codes), rear wheel bearing or the rear differential humming noise is being emitted (most prominent between 35-45 mph), he brakes need work (vibration) and tires need replacement. The bulletproof 2.2L engine is strong and with all of the proper torque but it has a leaking driver's side valve cover gasket (as mentioned, he head gasket is fine). There is a dent on the driver's door and a smaller ding on the passenger side fender, either affects the door or structural integrity of the car. It is otherwise a very good looking car.
This is a car for a Subaru enthusiast who wants a clean car with good bones to work on. I've done my best to describe this car, would keep it, ut I'm not sure I have time for it. It could easily get another 100k miles in with some elbow grease. I have the title in hand.
Buyer Assumes Shipping. I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time. I also reserve the right to remove the post and cancel a bid if the buyer has little no eBay history. Buyer's payment must clear before pickup.
Update: I will be posting pics of the underside
